Life is Good

Well, It has been over a month and I am back to trying blogging again. Life has been good as you can see by the title of this post. I want to tell you all about the fun things that have been happening in our lives. But, where to start?

Well, last time I posted, Hubby and I were looking for our first house, and after lots of searching and a few scary walk-throughs, we found the perfect cute little house. It looks super tiny from the outside, but it is perfect for us, and today we are signing the papers to own our very own home. Super Excited!!! We are moving even more in to the Mormon bubble, but I guess this "U of U" girl will have to get used to seeing Blue every where. Hubby is a big "Y" fan so he is pleased with the relocation.

I am so excited to start working on our house and making it a home, Our Home. While I am incredibly grateful to my In-Laws for letting us stay here, I am Super Excited to get to tear out, build, paint and just make our house ours.

I haven't taken any of my own yet, but that is my house!

So that is the Family News, now to individual updates...

Hubby has been working for Nestle as a temp for 8 months but this last Monday he became an Official Nestle Employee! YAY!! Hubby!
He brought home Red Roses and Martinelli's to celebrate the occasion.
We Love Martinelli's for Special occasions.

So those were the happy updates

Now I never promised that all my posts would be sunshine and daisies, and the rest of this post is slightly lacking all that yellow happy goodness, but I wanted to share what was going on with us.
We have had some sad days here amongst the Clan. My grandfather passed away March 1st. He was 84 years old

Here are a couple pictures of my grandpa, the one on the left was taken about 2 1/2 years ago while the one on the right is from my wedding last June.
He and my grandmother were married for 63 years. I was very close to my grandparents growing up (both physically and emotionally) and it was really hard to see him go, but I know that he is in a much better place now and he is watching all of his family missing us and watching our crazy antics. I will miss my Grandpa a lot and it will take a while to stop being sad, but I will see him again, and that helps. Even now as I write this post I am finding it hard not to get teary eyed. He was a crazy old man, but we loved him. He was our Grandpa, there are many like him in the world, but this one was ours. He agave us a lot to live up to and a lot to work for. While we all think he left us too soon, he also left us a great example to follow. He was married to his sweetheart for 63 years, I haven't even reached 1 year yet, so I have a long ways to go.

Thanks for keeping up with all the Clans happenings. I'll post again soon.

The Crawley Clan

This is what I live for. My Hubby and my 2 Furry Babies. Hubby and I have been together for 11 1/2 months and married for 8 1/2 months. My 2 furry babies are both about 6 months old and growing fast.
Every day is an adventure but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Valentine's Day Update
So yesterday I told you I would give you all updates about how our first Valentine's Day together went. When Hubby got home he gave me a single long stemmed red rose.

I had made him a triple layer cake and sent him on a scavenger hunt for Valentine's Day notes and on the last note he got the cake.

We hung out at home for a bit then Hubby took me out to eat at Mi Ranchito. We had yummy Mexican food and there was live music at the restaurant for Valentine's Day which made the date even more fun.

Here is the Giant bear cute Hubby gave me holding the yummy truffles. That is a full sized La-Z-Boy recliner he is sitting in and he takes up the entire thing. Super cute and super soft and cuddley.

Our first Valentine's Day together was a complete success.

Welcome to The Crawley Clan Blog

Since this is my first post, I figure I should give you a little history on my Crawley Clan. Jonathan and I met March 2012 in our singles ward and were married June 2012 (when it is right, why wait?) We have been married for 8 1/2 wonderful months and I couldn't be happier. I stay at home with our 2 furry babies while Hubby goes to work. We are looking for our first home, as we have been living with his family, and we are ready to move to the next step. I am learning through trial and error how to be a homemaker, and how to deal with having another person around all the time.
I want this blog to be a way to keep track of the comings and goings of the clan as we learn and grow together. I want to post my recipe successes (happy Hubby) and my food failures (brave Hubby eats it anyway). Share my obsession with trying things from Pintrest and how they turn out. Update my world about my life and my loves.

First Lovey Update

Today is our first Valentine's Day together and Hubby surprised me with a Huge Teddy Bear so I won't be alone when he goes to work in the mornings, I sat the bear on the couch and when I turned around there were Lindor Truffles in its arms. He says he is taking me out to dinner tonight, so I don't have to worry about cooking today. (Best present ever). I will let you know where he takes me and I will post pictures of everything I can.

For some reason the first part of this post think it needs to be all CAPS. I promise I am not yelling. Just learning
